There is a Planning Commission Meeting scheduled for Tuesday July 7th, 2026 at 7:00pm. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the Election of Officers, PC Bylaw review, and Residential Zoning.

About Washington Township

Washington Township in Gratiot County, Michigan, was established in 1855. The township hall was built in 1856.  Its roots were set with the formation of the village of Pompeii in 1854 and has maintained its rural character and agricultural roots since its founding.
Over the years, Washington Township has grown into a community that balances its historical heritage with modern developments, including the recent addition of renewable energy projects.
